Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery community helping others celebrate freedom from all types of painful hurts, habits and hang-ups. Celebrate Recovery utilizes the biblical truth that we need each other in order to grow spiritually and emotionally. Together we experience life-changing transformation as we learn to apply the Twelve Steps along with biblical comparisons and Eight Recovery Principles based on the teachings of Jesus. God’s healing power leads us to a life of serenity, joy and most importantly, a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We learn to break free from our need to rely on our dysfunctional, compulsive, and unmanageable behaviors as a ‘fix’ for our pain, and turn to Christ, our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power.

Friday Nights, 6:30-9:30 p.m.

ChemoCare Bag Ministry

This ministry distributes “free” handmade tote bags to those who must undergo chemotherapy. Each bag is covered in prayer and is personalized for the individual who will receive it. Inside, these bags are filled with blankets, devotionals, journals, handmade hats and many other useful and fun things. For more information or to order a bag, please contact chemocarebags@comcast.net.

Deacons

The deacons, as an extension of the pastor and staff, are responsible for ministering to the needs of the members of Trinity Baptist Church through such things as visitation of the sick and shut-ins, being available during times of loss, encouragement of, and participation in, the organizations of the church, and the assimilation of new members into the church.

FAITH Ministry (Visitation)
Element_1965a.gif

Members of Trinity Baptist Church enjoy visiting people in their homes in order to get to know them and offer personal ministry. This is done through various ministries, but Tuesday night is set aside as visitation night. To prepare members to effectively visit and minister to people, there are two semesters a year of FAITH training.

FAITH is a process in which members meet on Tuesday nights to be trained in sharing the Good News and ministering. They then visit in people's homes in groups of three and return to the church to celebrate. This follows the example of Christ who trained His disciples, sent them out, and celebrated with them on an ongoing basis.

Heart to Heart has a passion to help women deepen their relationships with the Lord through prayer, knowing His Word, and building relationships with one another. This year, we are encouraging women to see God as an Ageless Romancer who pursues them for a passionate and intimate relationship that will satisfy all the deepest longings of their hearts. Heart to Heart includes Bible studies, interest groups, a wonderful annual retreat, a variety of activities, and prayer network.

Helping Hands

The Helping Hands ministry reaches out in a variety of ways to help people in the community. Whether it's someone who needs weeds pulled, a sick mom who needs her small child cared for, or a family in need of food from our food closet—whatever the need, we try to fill it.

Live, Drive-Through Nativity

Every December, the Trinity Baptist Church family produces a series of scenes that tell the story of Christ using live characters and animals. Guests view the scenes from the comfort of their own cars while listening to scene narratives through their car radios. This sharing of the Good News typically reaches approximately 2,000 people each year.

In 2012, the Live, Drive-Through Nativity will be presented Thursday through Sunday evenings, December 13-16, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Men's Ministries
Element_1996a.jpg

Men, join us in following Jesus on a course of Godly significance in our daily lives. We minister to men through such things as Bible studies, breakfast meetings, golf tournaments, and retreats. Our purpose is to help men become the man, the husband, the father, and the servant that God desires each man to be.

Senior Adult Ministry
Element_1997a.jpg

We have a very active senior adult ministry at Trinity. On the second Thursday of each month, we gather for a luncheon and a time of Bible study. Throughout the year, we take day trips to places around the Bay Area, such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Twice a year, we offer the opportunity to attend Senior Adult Retreats at Camp Cazadero in the coastal mountains. The seniors also provide a well established care ministry for people within their group and beyond.

Supporting All Military (Operation:S.A.M.)

"Operation:S.A.M." is a non-profit organization that sends packages to our troops to show our support to those deployed all over the world, especially those deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We are led by a group of dedicated volunteers and their families. We all have a mutual bond of respect and appreciation for the men and women who are unselfishly placing themselves in harm's way. Don’t forget our troops.

You can support Operation Sam by dropping off items they need. We have a box in the foyer of building B. For a complete list of items, contact the church office or go to www.operationsam.org and click on the link “How you can help”.
