Music and Drama Ministries

O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
Psalm 95:1-2 (NASB)

God is always inviting us to come and worship Him. At Trinity Baptist Church, our main time to gather for worship is on Sunday mornings. Through singing, prayer, Bible readings, and preaching, we provide people the opportunity to enter into the presence of God. Our worship is primarily vertical as we focus on holy God, salvation through Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our worship is also horizontal as we bring hope and encouragement to one another.

Participation is the key to successful worship. No one can worship for you. Each person must engage their mind, their senses, and their souls as they worship with gathered community of faith. Participate in the singing! Pray! Give thanks! Listen to the message! Respond during the invitation! Each of these is an opportunity for you to enter into the presence of God.

Our worship music style is primarily contemporary praise and worship and hymns arranged in a contemporary style. Our worship music is accompanied by our worship band (piano, drums, bass, guitars, percussion, and woodwind instruments) and supported by a small ensemble of singers.

4 X Grace - This men's quartet shares the Good News by singing traditional gospel music.

Orchestra and Instrumental Ensembles - God has blessed Trinity with many talented musicians who periodically lend their talents to a variety of instrumental ensembles.

Christ Centered Art Festival at Trinity

June 23-24, 2012

Christ Centered Art Festival is a broad based arts event which includes Christian focused Fine Arts, Performance Painting, Historical and Scholarly presentations. We look forward to your participation in this spiritually uplifting, juried event and thank you ahead of time for directing your art focus to the specified theme.

Theme: “Parables of Jesus” (Matthew, Chapter 13)

Jesus used a particular genre of storytelling to convey spiritual truths about the “kingdom of heaven.” These stories are full of imagery, color, and shapes. The biblical writers called them parables.

The theme for our 2012 Christ Centered Art Festival is PARABLES OF JESUS from Matthew Chapter 13. In this one chapter we find the parables of the sower, the tares, the mustard seed, leaven, hidden treasures, the costly pearl, and the dragnet. Artists are invited to read, study, and meditate upon this one chapter in Matthew and then create an original piece of art based upon this theme.

Drama Ministry

Drama sketches are often used to enhance our worship experiences. This year, sketches include "The Table," "The Lane of Life," "Early Riser," and "The Sin Box." Sara Stoebe (tbcdrama@comcast.net) is the director of the Drama Ministry. Rehearsals are each Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.

The Music and Drama Ministries combine each year to present Easter and Christmas productions. Our Christmas Dessert Theater has become an annual event at Trinity.

For more information relative to this ministry, visit the Trinity Baptist Church Drama Ministry website.
